About Us | Coffrin's ATA Martial Arts Bloomington IL

Sr. Master Corey Coffrin

Owner & Chief Instructor
7th Degree Black Belt • Black Belt in Krav Maga
Sr. Master Corey Coffrin has been studying martial arts since 1982 and has dedicated his life to helping others become stronger—physically, mentally, and emotionally. As the owner and Chief Instructor of Just 4 Kicks Martial Arts, his mission is to develop confident leaders and strong families through the values of respect, discipline, perseverance, and integrity.
Corey’s commitment to serving others extends well beyond the martial arts mat. He proudly served in the Illinois National Guard, including deployment during Operation Desert Storm, before beginning a distinguished law enforcement career. While serving as a police officer, he pursued his dream of owning a martial arts school, opening his first academy in 1999. Over the years, that vision has grown into what is now Just 4 Kicks Martial Arts, where he has helped thousands of students discover the life-changing benefits of martial arts. Following a successful career, Corey retired from law enforcement in 2012 to devote himself full-time to teaching and mentoring students.
Today, Corey holds a 7th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and a Black Belt in Krav Maga. His classes blend practical self-defense with character development, creating an environment where students of every age can build confidence, develop leadership skills, and reach their fullest potential.
Whether teaching a student’s very first class or mentoring future instructors, Corey believes martial arts is about far more than earning belts—it’s about building better people.
